Halloween Coaster - Frankenstein's monster


Halloween Coasters - Frankenstein's monster.
He is actually very, very simple and very cute. He looks great with vampire, ghost basically  he just looks great! I highly recommend to make Your own Frankie-Coaster with the pattern below.





Materials:


  • white, black, green, grey  yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
  • a bit of white material for eyes.
  • hook 3 mm

Pattern:


Eye - make 2

black yarn

R1: 6 sc in MR, ss in first sc you made to fasten the circle (6) FO


Ear - make 2

green yarn

R1: 5 sc in MR (5)

R2: TURN (You will be making half circle not circle ) inc around (10) FO


Hair - make 1

black yarn

R1: 18 ch (18)

R2: sc 17 starting from 2-nd ch (17)

R3: TURN  sc around (17)

R4: * sc, dc, 2 ch, ss in 2-nd chain, sc in  upper part of red dc, sc in lower part of red dc, ss * X5 FO


Nail is made of two parts (see the picture below)

Nail part 1 ( rectangular) - make 2

dark grey yarn

R1: 5 ch

R2: starting from 2-nd ch sc 4 FO


Nail part2 (oval) - make 2

dark grey yarn

R1: 5 sc in MR (5)

R2: 2 ch, dc, dc, ss in red dc, ss FO


On the picture below You can see all off the parts before sewing:









Start by cutting th small parts of white material and sewing them to the eyes as light reflections. Sew eyes, mouth and than hair as shown on the picture.








Sew nails - first the rectangular part, then oval in front. In the end sew ears a bit below the eyes line.
